OCTOBER 8th, 2009: 5pm Cambell Recital Hall, Stanford University, CA. Open rehearsal of "The Origin Cycle" featuring Jane Sheldon - soprano and Firebird Ensemble. 

OCTOBER 8th, 2009: 8pm Performance of "The Origin Cycle" - seven newly commissioned works by Eliot Gyger, Elena Kats-Chernin, Daniel Walker, Paul Stanhope, Nicholas Vines, Kate Neal and Rosalind Page. 

OCTOBER 13th, 2009: 4.30pm Granoff Music Center, Tufts University, MA. Composition seminar on the topic "Fostering relationships between composers and performing ensembles". Presented by David Russell - Firebird Ensemble core cellist and Kate Vincent - Artistic Director and violist of Firebird Ensemble.

OCTOBER 16th, 2009: 4.30pm Wolfinson Room, Longy School of Music, Cambridge, MA. Student composition readings by Firebird Ensemble

OCTOBER 19th, 2009: 5.30pm Jewett Auditorium, Wellesley College, Wellesley, MA. Performance workshop and demonstration.

OCTOBER 26th, 2009: 7pm Edward Pickman Auditorium, Longy School of Music, Cambridge, MA. Pre-concert discussion with composers Eric Moe and Donald Crockett.

OCTOBER 26th, 2009: 8pm Edward M. Pickman Auditiorium, Longy School of Music, Cambridge, MA. Performance by Firebird Ensemble of works by Eric Moe and Donald Crockett including the World Premiere’s of the following: to airy thinness beat for solo viola and six instruments by Donald Crockett (co-commissioned by Harvard Musical Society) and Frozen Hours Melt Melodiously Into The Past for cello and ensemble by Eric Moe (commissioned by JFNMC).

MARCH 11th, 2010: 9.30am Longy School of Music, Cambridge, MA. Seminar for Longy students by Kate Vincent – Artistic Director and violist of Firebird Ensemble on the topic “Preparing for your career”.
